Before your birthday reading

What If You Don't Know Your Exact Birth Time?

You probably know your birth date. But many people do not know the exact hour and minute they were born. You can still explore Birthday Stars using an approximate time of day, with an important limitation: the results will be less precise.

Why birth time matters for a solar return

Solar return astrology uses your birth moment to calculate when the Sun returns to its natal zodiac position. Birth time also affects the local sky orientation used in astrological houses and angles. A difference of hours can produce meaningfully different chart interpretations and destination recommendations.

An approximate result should not be treated as a chart calculated from a confirmed birth time. If you later discover the exact time, your solar return destinations may change.

What you can enter in Birthday Stars

There are two options: enter the exact time, or select an approximate part of the day. The approximate choices are:

• Night: 00:00-05:59
• Morning: 06:00-11:59
• Afternoon: 12:00-17:59
• Evening: 18:00-23:59

Birthday Stars will mark your preview and purchased report as approximate. The ranges help you start; they do not make the results equivalent to knowing the exact minute.

How to find a more accurate time

If possible, start with your birth certificate or other official birth records. You can also ask relatives, contact the hospital or check the relevant civil registry, depending on where you were born. Available records vary by country.

Be careful with remembered times like "around breakfast" or a date written on a hospital discharge note. If you are uncertain, it is better to select an approximate range than to guess a precise clock time.

Can I still choose a birthday destination?

Yes. You can combine normal travel priorities with an approximate astrology-inspired reading. First, consider where you want to go, how much time you have and what you can afford. Then use the reading as one possible source of inspiration. For practical suggestions, see where to spend your birthday.
